Services
How it works
If you believe that your organization might benefit from a fractional legal counsel:
-you may have specific legal or policy needs that you know already, or
-I can provide a professional assessment of your legal needs and the services you require.
After initial consultation, you select a fractional time level that you require, and the day of the week you want my services, and I will present a draft engagement quote and contract for your consideration.
Essentially, you are hiring a regular in-house legal counsel, just less than full-time. I will attend at the location you choose on the days you have selected and provide legal services, represent your organization in legal matters, and answer both internal and external questions as a professional and executive resource at whatever level of your organization is required. The cost will be consistent period to period, and billed weekly, biweekly, or monthly. As your fractional counsel, I will give you the fundamental legal services you require at a cost and scale that are appropriate for your company.
But having in-house counsel also offers advantages for your business that even outweigh savings in legal fees. I will establish a rapport with key staff in your enterprise, and build bridges with external entities such as regulators, suppliers, industry organizations and others. As a continuing part of your team, I will be a resource in your strategy formation and a pro-active problem solver.
Although as your fractional counsel I can work both on and off-site, it is critical that you and your staff consider me a part of your team. If space permits, I strongly recommend setting up a designated space for me to work during my attendance at your site. I also recommend that you select a title to identify my function at your company, and connect me to your internal services and communications.
